My father doesn't have a cell phone

any big news has to wait until he gets back from fishing
being the last to know doesn't seem to bother him

deep down I think he likes it

to get information in bunches upon his return

while those with cell phones fuss over him and shake their heads

getting debriefed

as he guts the fish
